About Koora Games
Koora Games is a daily-puzzle football site built for the Moroccan, Maghreb, and wider MENA audience — and for football fans everywhere who like a good ten-minute brain-teaser between matches.
What we do
Every day we publish a new round across more than twenty puzzle formats:
- Career Trail, Career Imposter, Mastermind — guess the player from clues that get clearer each round.
- Box2Box, Tiki-Taka-Toe — fill the grid with players who fit two categories at once.
- Football Wordle, Connections — daily word and pattern puzzles with football vocabulary.
- Born Today, Goalless, Tenaball, Derby — quick-hit trivia rounds.
- Botola Simulator, World Cup 2026 Simulator — predict full tournaments and seasons round by round.
Each game has a Morocco, World, and (where relevant) per-country pool — Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia. So Hakimi shows up next to Mahrez, Salah, and Al-Owais on the same day, but only when the day's pool covers their region.
Where the data comes from
We pull from public sources and credit them:
- Wikidata (CC0) — the structured backbone of every player profile: date of birth, nationality, position, image link.
- Wikipedia — career narrative and photo backfills.
- openfootball (CC0) — every World Cup match and goal, 1930-2022.
- Transfermarkt (with a polite, rate-limited scraper) — squad history and lineups for Botola Pro and the Atlas Lions, kept narrowly to what's needed for Missing XI puzzles.
The full list of credits and data licences is in our Privacy Policy and the open-source repository.
Who runs this
Koora Games is operated as an independent project by a small team based in Casablanca. We are football fans first, builders second.

Open ecosystem
The site is built on standard, transparent infrastructure: Node.js + SQLite, vanilla JavaScript on the client, served from a single small VPS. No tracking pixels beyond what advertising partners require. No accounts, no email-harvesting newsletters. Just daily puzzles you play and forget.
